Critical error with Lay Theme Carousel Version 2.7.7

Hi there!
After updating the Lay Theme Carousel plugin to version 2.7.7, the website no longer loads and shows the following critical error:
There has been a critical error on this website.
When I deactivate the plugin (or addon), the website works again as expected.
Any help or suggestions on how to fix this?Thank you!!

After debugging and some Chatgpt I found this:
The error you're seeing is caused by a problem in the LayTheme Carousel plugin. Specifically:
A variable named $LayFrontend_Options is being used without being defined first (this causes a PHP Warning).
Then, the code tries to use that undefined variable as if it were a class name — but since it's null or not a valid string/object, PHP throws a Fatal Error.
As a result, the layout can't be built correctly, and the page crashes or fails to render.
I tested the plugin update on other websites using Lay Theme, and it works fine.
To add more context, I re-uploaded the previous versions of both Lay Theme and the plugin, then updated them again — but the error still persists.
