Banding (non smooth gradients) on images when uploading

I'm not sure why there is a lot of banding happening in my images when I upload them to the website, it didn't used to happen. The photos are 16bit and .png - they look fine before uploading.
https://www.basskoster.com/jagermeister-orange/ can see this one for reference - not all the images have this issue either so I'm really am at a loss here. Any tips or solutions? -

I just don't understand why some are and some arent. but will try jpgs thanks. -
ok problem solved. the smaller jpg's did the trick. Thanks a lot again :)

ok nice!
i think its better to use jpg than png if you dont need transparency in your images
because the compression is better!
