fatal error to access to edit pages in wordpress after laytheme update today

i updated the laytheme plugin this morning
So far the site itself still seems to display and work normally as far as i can tell.
and the customise and lay options pages workbut when i go to click on any page in the pages menu i get this error which triggered the wordpress fatal error message.
before i start trying to revert to the theme backups i wanted to report this in case it can be solved with an update?
i am on chrome and mac os.

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
