Can not add images & carousel not working after update

Hi there!
Somehow I am not able to add any images to my project. When I try to change the Project Thumbnail I only get a white window (pic attached) as well. I deinstalled the Jetpack, which causes this problem as far as I´ve read. No changes.
This problem appeared yesterday while uploading a certain amount of images. I got webspace left. Maybe it has something to do with the newest carousel-plugin I installed while updating the site? After updating to the newest carousel-plugin the carousels I had in use quite often don’t show up any more too.
Other Option: I am not running on the newest Lay Theme 2.1.5. Version. Could an update help? If so I would need the license key which I lost or somehow didn`t get with the purchase of the theme back in last year.
Moreover the site is running very slowly. Any ideas? Or yeah, and here`s the site.

No images are shown when you click "+Image"? Disable "Jetpack" plugin.Can you write Armin an email about the License Key? If you bought it you can get it again of course.
Check in your SPAM folder for an email by Gumroad. This is the service which we use for the download link!

I have the same problem. What can I do? I posted the article already, but don`t have a reply:

since the thread is quite old…Do you have LayTheme up to date? Wordpress s well? Can you deactivate all plugins?

I had same problem like Anha had, my +Carousel doesn't open media window. I tried deactive, re-install, update. It's still not working. Please help!

you need to click in image to insert images when you are inside of the carousel.
But I assume you know that.
