Text Footer links overwrites text styles

Im using text footer element to list 4 links.
the text style i want to use is grey, but once i add a hyperlink – my text is black. i cant find/ access the particular selector and also cant access a custom class selector i added for the element.

is there a general setting for link styles – which gets in the way?
