can't post images

hey there,
I just got the theme and I already love it. But there's a problem:

When I want to edit a project I can't add images. When I click on "+Image" I just see a white box appearing but I can't see and add my files which I have in my WP installation.
I can add text and video though.
Any help?

I did the update for the theme already.
Tried it with Safari 11.0 and Firefox 56.0.2

I would appreciate any help.

oh, figured it out. had to disable Jetpack.
