Videos in Carousel - white screen and browser errors

Hi, I'm experiencing weird issues with the videos in the carousel, especially when I first try to load the page in a new window. Before the first video starts playing instead of displaying the placeholder image there is a white screen, Then the videos start and stop playing, sometimes with intermittent white flash. Overall it feels quite laggy and like something is not working properly. I spotted the following browser errors in
Chrome:
Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: The play() request was interrupted by a call to pause(). -

I am having a similar issue with my website on Chrome. The video playing works perfectly in Safari but does not show on chrome. Here is a link to the page with the video. The error is the following :
Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: The play() request was interrupted by a new load request.They give this as a reference to fix the error but I am unsure how to implement it.
