Problem with Jscript

Hello everyone,
I'm buidling a new website with Laytheme, and I would like te put a mix-bend cursor, using this codepen as example : https://codepen.io/farisk/pen/bMgrxy

But, I just can't make it work :
I put the JS into <script> tags, and replaced $ with jQuery.
I put "cursor" div into "Custom HTML at top".
And used the CSS as in the codepen example.

Maybe someone has a solution ? It may be a misplaced HTML div ?
