Menu issue / Splash page

Hey there! I am new to Lay theme. I created a first page and was wondering: Do I need to create a Menu to publish it? I want it to be very simple, like a splash page. Logo, Image, text. The page is created but I have to clue how to get it live, and I don't want to show a menu bc I don't have any subpages to show except data policy.

you need to create a menu. But you can leave it blank.
Or hide it.
