Fullscreen slider individual slide in

I would like to make a slide like this: https://anniepowers.com/
Where one images stays where it is and the other slides in. I've tried many things but haven't figured out how to get this to work. Does anyone have the answer?

PS: I can do it if I have 'no transition' set. But I do want the slide.
