Set cover color instead of darken

I saw an old thread about lighten / brightness instead of darken but I was wondering if there is an easy code or option to change the color darken overlay for cover to a color value when scrolling down?

This would require some Custom Coding on your part, however there is a lot of amazing content online as well as Lay Theme documentation:
Inspecting quickly i see the '.cover-region' has a filter added:

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
