Securing the digital download product

Question to everyone,
I’m using Woocommerce (on Laytheme) to sell digital downloads, and I’m wondering how you ensure the security of your download links.Currently, my files are stored in /wp-content/uploads/woocommerce_uploads/, but I’m concerned about whether this is secure enough. Should I be using a specific plugin to protect the download links, or is there a better method to secure the files?
I’d appreciate any advice or recommendations.
