Fullscreen Slider not preloading carousel images

Here's the thing:

If you use the fullscreen slider and the next row is using a background image/video it is preloaded and slides in smoothly.
BUT if the next slide is using a carousel you don't have the sliding in effect, as the images only appear after the row is fully in view.

I guess it's clear what I describe but you can also see it here (work in progress): http://web136.s163.goserver.host/benroth.info-wordpress/home/
The rows that work correctly, use background images instead of the carousel.

I guess this could be called a bug, or is there a simple fix I'm not seeing? Lazy loading on/off doesn't do it.

To me, it's quite an annoying problem because it really kills the fullscreen slider.
Let's hope it's not too annoying to fix.
