Placing text under images in grid (like thumbnail descriptions)

Hello forum,

I'm working on a site for a painter and need to include details directly below each painting. Ie. Text under an image in the same column.

Looking for a simple solution!

Here is the site (n progress).

You can see the small text to the left. It needs to go directly under each image.

If you click on an image, you can press the "edit caption" button. Is this what you need?

Vertical alignment is lost when columns collapse into 1 column in smaller windows.

Armin answered below. Image captions is the feature to use.
